College Sketchbooks

My latest coptic bound books; made from an old scarf, trousers, and a range of papers (many recycled). Created to support one of the subjects which my project is based upon - re-using to reduce waste.

For my previous project, I created a sketchbook and learning journal 

from old card and scrap fabric, bound using a stab stitch method 

and containing a variety of different paper types.

I created a research book from an old cake mix box with 

6 separate signatures sewn into it. The idea for this book 

was taken from the book "How to Make Books", by Esther K. Smith.

I created a learning journal from old cardboard, with colourful cans bent over the edges and held on with sellotape and split pins. A H&M bag covers the inside.
